The Harriet Tubman Boosters ClubThe Harriet Tubman Boosters Club has existed for nearly 60 years with a Mission to keep the life's work of American hero Harriet Tubman alive. The group formed in 1953 to promote and support the Tubman Home Museum. Some of the original members were relatives of Tubman, including Jennie Gaskin-Copes and Gladys Bryant (both grand nieces). Ms. Pauline Copes-Johnson, a great grand niece, is a current member of the Club. Membership dipped in the 1990's and then after continual low attendance since then, the Boosters started up strong again in early 2010 with 15 new members intent on continuing the Harriet Tubman Boosters Club legacy.
